Keeping your pet’s teeth healthy is critical to the long term health of your pet. We offer a variety of dental care, ranging from dental care food and products, to full dental cleanings and oral surgical procedures. We also have dental radiographs (x-rays) available to aid in your pet’s oral care.
Be aware of anesthesia-free dental cleanings! By law, dental services can only be provided by veterinarians or trained technicians under supervision of a veterinarian. Anesthesia-free dental cleanings are often performed by individuals untrained in veterinary dental techniques. This is not only illegal, but unsafe for your pet, and does not provide any of the health benefits of a cleaning done by a trained professional. For more information, reference the American Veterinary Dental College’s website.
We keep a supply of the routine pet medications to meet the needs of your pets, including exotic animals. This includes oral and topical medications and shampoos, vitamins, heartworm preventatives, flea and tick preventatives, and prescription diets. Special items may be ordered for prompt delivery, when needed.
Many older pets (and some young ones too) suffer pain due to ailments that affect movement, such as osteoarthritis. There are different pain medications and supplements available that can greatly ease their pain and improve movement. If you suspect your pet is having pain, seems stiff in movement, or is slow to get up or down, we can help!
Nutrition is an important part of treating disease processes. Some diseases can even be managed by a diet change alone. We carry a variety of prescription diets, and can order any other that your pet may require.
